How to make your sermon sounds more meaty:

1. “The Hebrew/Greek word for [some word] is [this], which means [that].”

2. “A German theologian said that…” (Somehow it must be German to accomplish that awesome effect. “An American theologian said that…” just doesn’t sound as good as the German. And, of course, you don’t really need a real saying from a German theologian. You use this when you want to convey the essence of your message. So, after putting it nicely in a sentence, then you add the German theologian thingy into your sentence to make your words more authoritative. Ha!)
