Just read the news that the number of e-KTPs is at 5.6 million. That’s way below the numbers in Dafter Pemilih Tetap (DPT) at 7 million. It probably proves that the DPT numbers way over-estimate (at 20% rate) the number of eligible voters in Jakarta (many no longer stay in Jakarta, or no longer live anymore). With the e-KTP numbers, the spoilt vote percentage will be at 16.6%, half of the current percentage at 33.3% if we use the DPT numbers.
(Not to mention that there are people like me who still have an e-KTP although we no longer “actively” reside in Jakarta, which will further increase the % of “true” turnout during the election.)
