1. Indonesia’s economy is expected to grow by 6.6% this year, continuing the similar trends of around 6% growth per year. It is tempting to be easily satisfied with this number and say to ourselves, well done, but the question is whether it is good enough for such country as Indonesia. Imagination can be unreal, but have you imagined what the growth will be if we can reduce corruption or have a decent infrastructure? Not to mention that it comes with the assumption of GDP growth equals to prosperity and it will trickle down all the way to the bottom of the society. GDP is a decent indicator, but I guess man does not live with GDP alone.
(That’s Singapore complaint mentality for you! :-p)
2. I really doubt the truth of this proposition: “We are born in Indonesia and hence God must have a plan for us for Indonesia.” Then why again was Abraham called to go out of Ur?
3. It was just too easy for Captain America to win over his enemies in the film. The reality in Iraq and Afghanistan, though, is not as easy as the Captain wants it to be, eh?
