What does it take to build a temple

2 Chronicles 2.17-18

The Israelites lived as resident aliens in Egypt, and eventually YHWH saved them from slavery when they were exploited to build Pharaoh’s store cities, Pithom and Rameses. Ironically, now Solomon had enslaved the foreigners in his land — to build the temple of YHWH.

(“Foreign workers” (kuli and tukang pahat) and “foreign talents” (mandor) are not the invention of the PAP, by the way!)

PS: Vinoth blogged his visit of migrant workers dormitories in Singapore.
