Body

A short follow-up to Duncan’s post here on body and temple. I suppose it works both way. If our body is the temple of God, the temple is the body of God. It started with the tabernacle, was followed by the Temple itself, and reached its climax in Jesus, who, according to John, was “tabernacling among us.” (Joh 1.14) Jesus is the body of God; God embodied; God enfleshed. I think this is where a perichoretic relationship might be appropriate to denote the precise relationship between these two concepts.
